Eighteenth Chipping Swale

The 18th green had been suffering over the past few years and we were looking at rebuilding it.  As the last option, the USGA came in and had us remove all unnecessary trees around the green.  We did this, but we also wanted to provide some separation between the green and the tee and control all the water that would run across the green.   What we ended up with is something that is more playable than the overgrown shrub beds, more traditional and golf like, we have  a great view up to the clubhouse and, likewise, a great view down 18 from the clubhouse area.  Every great course has its clubhouse as part of the opening and closing of a golf round, and this simple project provides that.
