8th Fairway Drainage

There are 10 to 20 year old drain lines in the 8th fairway.  The system had failed due to the fact that it was installed very shallowly with the top of the pipe system only one inch below the surface.  This is a common mistake in drainage installation as one gets overly concerned with getting pitch.  Pitch is important, but more important is dropping the water table in the soil, and the pipe needs to be deep to do that.  The shallow installation led to premature collapse of the pipe.
