DCPC Master Plan
1938 aerial photo, some research into the National Aernautics Resource site yielded this.
Lookout Mountain's Raynor Committee's Report to the club membership: 'We have the spine-tingling privilege of playing golf on a masterwork by one of the 'Grand Masters' of American golf. But the reality is that we have an unfinished masterpiece.'
2006 Long Range Golf Course Maintenance Plan This document was written by a committee of members at Dedham who met twice monthly for 2 years. We looked at many of the materials posted on this site and many others. We visited other Raynor courses and invited speakers to come to the club to help us develop our thoughts. We then finished this document and got it accepted by the Green and Grounds Committee, Golf Committee, Long range Planning Committee, and the Board of Governors. We then hired Brian Silva to draw us a plan of the document and add his expertise to enhance the course in places in the vein of Raynor. The committee fully knew that we weren't architects, but by looking at the 1938 aerial and looking at what needed to get fixed on the course we had an idea of what needed to be accomplished. It was Silva that brought together all of our ideas and supporting evidence with his knowledge of Raynor and architecture to draw the plan.
